Harbury Fields Farm lies a few miles east of Warwick and Leamington Spa and is ideally placed to enjoy the many local places of interest and Shakespeare Country attractions which abound. It is a quiet, family run touring park set in the Warwickshire countryside, well away from main roads. The lively village of Harbury (1 mile away) is an ancient prehistoric village sitting on a hill near the Fosse Way Roman road in Warwickshire. The area has a large number of old quarries that were used to extract lyas limestone used in the manufacture of cement. These are now predominantly used for recreation purposes. The Chiltern Railway runs through Harbury in the deepest railway cutting in Europe made purely by manual labour. Some of the waste from this work is now an SSSI that is one of the top butterfly habitats in the UK. For your immediate needs, the village  boasts six pubs and five shops which include newsagent, green grocer, post office, supermarket and hairdresser.arbury HHarb

Broadway

Landscaped on two levels, the site is on the edge of one of the loveliest of the golden-stoned villages of the Cotswolds. Broadway's main street is a delight with its pretty cottages, shady trees and interesting shops - it's so attractive it could be a film set depicting olde worlde England. Among other typical Cotswold villages are Winchcombe and Bourton-on-the-Water - but explore and find others for yourself. Stratford-upon-Avon is also within easy reach. Walkers please note that The Cotswold Way runs close by, so don't forget to pack the walking boots!

Warwick Racecourse

The site is set on grass and tarmac in the racecourse enclosure, and only six minutes walk from the centre of Warwick. There are a number of good walks to be taken and nearby there's also a 9-hole golf course with driving range and an area for flying model powered aircraft and model gliders. Adjacent to  the site are the historic Hill Close Victorian Gardens, which acts as a gateway to the town centre. Nearby Warwick Castle is reputed to be the finest medieval castle in England and an award-winning attraction - it's a full day's visit; The Kingmaker exhibition shows the mighty Earl of Warwick preparing for battle in 1471. You should also visit Stratford-upon-Avon (8m); start with the Heritage Trail or the Shakespeare Story Tour Bus and round it off with the real thing with a visit to the theatre!

Cirencester Park

Set in beautiful Grade I listed parkland, and forming part of the Bathurst Estate, this site is peaceful, level, with many mature trees. Cirencester was the second largest town in England during the Roman occupation, and is now a thriving market town with an interesting church and fascinating museum. From here you can explore the Cotswolds, perhaps one of the few areas we have left of real English countryside, with its warm limestone villages and little towns whose prosperity was built on the wool trade of centuries past.
Note: The site is adjacent to
Cirencester Park but access to the Park is restricted to the hours of 8am-5pm. Cycling is not permitted in the park. There is no restriction on access or cycling on the site.
