A real find this, a popular little site (formerly a railway station) in the dreamy North Herefordshire countryside, with daffodils on the bank at the entrance and apple blossom in the orchard close by. You are in the area of the famous black and white villages - there's a trail you can follow to see some of them, but start at Weobley only four miles away, right off the beaten track and an almost perfect example of an old English village with the church at its heart and 14th to 16th century timber-framed cottages lining its streets. As you are so close to the River Wye, you should explore it a little - perhaps with a visit to Symonds Yat  which offers canoeing and fishing. Golfing facilities can also be found nearby.

Cirencester Park

Set in beautiful Grade I listed parkland, and forming part of the Bathurst Estate, this site is peaceful, level, with many mature trees. Cirencester was the second largest town in England during the Roman occupation, and is now a thriving market town with an interesting church and fascinating museum. From here you can explore the Cotswolds, perhaps one of the few areas we have left of real English countryside, with its warm limestone villages and little towns whose prosperity was built on the wool trade of centuries past.
Note: The site is adjacent to
Cirencester Park but access to the Park is restricted to the hours of 8am-5pm. Cycling is not permitted in the park. There is no restriction on access or cycling on the site.

Lucksall Caravan & Camping Park

Lucksall Park is situated in open countryside, in 17 acres of beautifully kept parkland. Benefiting from large level pitches, many are bordered by an abundance of shrubs, flowerbeds and many varieties of trees. An ideal spot for watching nature at its best – visitors may see buzzards soaring, kingfishers darting up and down on the river and the occasional appearance of an otter.

The park is bordered by the River Wye on one side (with direct access to the river) and wonderful views of the forestry woodland on the other with miles of winding tracks to walk. Many other walks are available from the park with free information and maps available from reception.

The River Wye is regarded as the premier water for canoeing in England with Canadian canoes available for hire, or facilities to launch your own.  Added to this, anglers will be in their element as some of the best coarse fishing on the Wye can be found here.
