With one part of the site adjacent to the beach and the other enclosed by willow and shrubs, there's a pitch to suit all tastes. Early summer the foreshore is a riot of colour with wild flowers, including the rare Yellow Poppy. Although Kessingland beach is shingle, nearby Lowestoft has a sandy beach with the Blue Flag and lifeguards. Africa Alive is a short distance from the site. Lowestoft airshow takes place each summer. Charming Southwold is a few miles away (where the filming of Iris took place). For thrills take the children to Pleasure Wood Hills Theme Park, take a day boat on The Broads, go sea or river fishing and bird watching at Minismere or watch power boat racing on Oulton Broad. This site has something for everyone.
