A tranquil, open site in the midst of the Broads, equidistant from the villages of Horning and Ludham, in England's newest National Park and its special landscape. The Norfolk Broads combine over 200 miles of waterways with windmills, market towns and lovely river settings in between. Wroxham (4m) and Hoveton form the boating centre and the attractive villages of Potter Heigham and Horning are both nearby. The river is only 200 yards from the site and boats and cycles can be hired. Wroxham Barns house 14 working craftsmen alongside a Junior Farm, children's playground and summer funfair. A visit to Norwich is a must with its daily market, interesting Castle and fine Norman Cathedral.

With one part of the site adjacent to the beach and the other enclosed by willow and shrubs, there's a pitch to suit all tastes. Early summer the foreshore is a riot of colour with wild flowers, including the rare Yellow Poppy. Although Kessingland beach is shingle, nearby Lowestoft has a sandy beach with the Blue Flag and lifeguards. Africa Alive is a short distance from the site. Lowestoft airshow takes place each summer. Charming Southwold is a few miles away (where the filming of Iris took place).  For thrills take the children to Pleasure Wood Hills Theme Park, take a day boat on The Broads, go sea or river fishing and bird watching at Minismere or watch power boat racing on Oulton Broad.
